CZ is in the house!

I was already looking for a replacement stock when I ordered a 527 varmint. I was thinking the wood was going to a plain brown blah stock. Was I ever wrong! The lighting in the garage and the camera on my phone don't do it justice. Mounting a Vortex Viper HS-T 4-16 as soon as the rings arrive. That deer hide is my first attempt at tanning one in over 45 years of hunting.

That is one nice stick of factory wood!

If you were to want that same piece of wood on say, a Cooper, Dakota or Kimber, it would most likely be an "upgrade" with added cost. Way to go CZ! :D

Boy, my 527 varmint sure doesn't have a stock anything close to that nice!! It's not horrible but nothing like that. It shoots lights out though.

kWm, what do you shoot in yours? I bought some 34 gr Dogtowns to try with BL-C(2) and have some 32 gr Noslers to try with RL10. Need to get out and break it in and start having some fun. Kind of afraid to take it to far from the bench though.

inKY, If I was at the range with you & you walked away for too long, I'm afraid when you returned you would just find a barreled action to take back with you. Beautiful wood for an out of the box rifle. If you're worried about scratching it or something, send it to me and I'll send you a plain Jane one that won't keep you up at night worrying about HA! Have a safe happy holidays,
Jim D :lmao:

RL10 should work but if you have it, X-terminator or Accurate 2230 (same exact powder), or CFE223 works for me.

Inkyfromsd, I use the 39gr blitz kings. Norma brass, 24.8gr rl10x, CCI br4 primers. 3825fps. Also have a load with the 35 Berger's and 2230 that shoots very well at 3950fps. The 32 blitz kings and rl10x run well over 4100fps out of mine under max load. But the 39s are my load of choice. With its high b.c. and at over 3800fps the 32 doesn't gain you anything and the 39 takes over after 400yrds or so. This has been my 1st 204 and man what a LASER! And you can watch it live turn every crow and barn cat you shoot inside out!! :D

Not quite as much of a show though as my .25-06 with 90gr blitz kings. That thing will gut, skin, and tan a house cat in one shot!! Haha there's not a whole lot left.

I have a CZ 455 chambered in 17hmr that also has awesome furniture (curved European style stock). It's a great shooter and has claimed many ground squirrels on the sheep ranch property where we hunt.

Wow, that's awesome. My 527 Varmint has a very pedestrian stock, so much so that I have no qualms about replacing it with a B&C Kevlar this rat season.

I was prepared to do the same thing. I wasn't expecting a rifle like this at that price. It seems like it's going to shoot as good as it looks too!
