Savage 12BGTV

Post by berettabob »

I purchased this rifle a few weeks ago and thought I would report on the results to date.
It is a Laminated thumbhole stock, stainless barrel, 204 Ruger caliber. I believe these were put together for one dealer and are slowly finding owners across the country. I put a Nikon buckmaster 4.5 to 14 scope on the weapon.

I will not describe the break-in process, just the results.

I ended up with three rounds in one ragged hole on three targets, two from the 200 yard line and one from the 100 yard line. Am looking forward to longer distance shooting.
I shot 39 gr. Sierra's and am going to try other types later.

I have one in .223 with a blue barrel.A Nikon BM 6-18 sits on mine :wtg: Never seen one in stainless....Sounds like it's a shooter as well. Enjoy your new rifle!

I saw a few Saturday, down at Whittaker's. I'm not a fan of thumbholes, so I didn't pay much attention to it, but what I saw looked nice enough.
