Nice grouping, you will do well. As for the shooting range, the barrel idea or even a dirt back stop, if you can put one up would work well, I believe. With the light bullets we shoot in our 204's and the 17 calibers, ricochets are not at all common, those little pills just seem to come apart. Think you have a nice set up and it will work great for you. Bill K :)

JW: Wow, that's a very nice piece of property you've got there. I can see a sweet range setup in your future.

Suggestion for the chicken coop.....build a wooden barrier, about 4' square or larger, and post it right in front of the coop at ground level. It will baffle/deflect the blast quite a bit for the birds, not freak them out, and egg production should still be good.
