Anybody having luck with it in a .204? Its all my gun shop had. My hornady manual listed it.
Remington 700 sps varmit with Leupold vx-3 6.5-20 adj objective HS Precision stock and timney trigger

YES!! My Savage 12 VLP did fantastic with it. I guess its the "wrong" powder to use, but it was all that was available at the time (2009) from my local shop.

I could expect 5-shots to place at 0.5" (often hit 0.3") shooting off crappy bags with:

26.5 gn of 4064
2.28" OAL
Hornady brass
32 VMax
Rem 7.5 primers

Then the local shop wouldn't keep it in stock :wall: , so I ended up using Benchmark.

Works great in my Remington 700 VS. I shoot Sierra 32 and 39 grain bullets with excellent results.

I think 4064 is better suited towards heavier bullets/larger calibers but it's kinda like being in a bar at closing time - you may have to take whatever's available . . .

used it when I first started reloading 204 ruger (couldnt find any other powder localy). Worked well best I can remember shot under 1/2" at 100yrds consistantly.
Where did that hit? I dont know aim alittle higher!
