Hi
New to this site so sorry if this has been done to death. Picking up my CZ 527 in 204 next week and have a delivery of 39gr sierras arriving on Monday.
I already have powders;
H335
Vit N133
Benchmark
X-terminator
TAC
Anyone got any good loads for this rifle using these powders? Especially the vit N133.
Cheers for all your help,
BE

Hey BE, welcome. This thread might be of some assistance with the N133

I have the same in a Varmint model and it has shot well with a variety of powders.
Really liked the 35gr Bergers too.

Welcome to the site, don't go on line much but check once in a while. You'll love the little CZ527. I have 5 of them and all are shooters. My little 204 Ruger likes the H335 powder the best on your list. I shoot 39 gr Blitz Kings with 26.8 grains of H335. May be a max load in some guns so I'd start @ 24.5 grains and work up. It shoots in my Varmint barreled rifle right @ 3,800 fps. and it will shoot 1/4 MOA @ 100 yards and 3/4 MOA @ 200 all day long. It really ticks me off but it out shoots my Cooper 204 and my Dakota 204. 1/3 or 1/4 the cost and out shoots them all, go figure. Good luck and enjoy. CZ's are the best value I've seen in years for a good shooter for a fair price. I"m re-barreling one right now in the 20 SCC. good shooting. Rick

Sorry but no one but you will have a good load for that rifle, unless you send to one of us.Big ears wrote:

IME the 204 is not a fickle animal to load for, just start your homework.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.

I fully agree with Darkker on this point. Of the powders you listed, the only 2, I tried, are H335 and Benchmark. For me, I could never get 335 to shoot worth a dime in my 204. So I tried Benchmark w/32 gr pills. and I am still using with the 32's, after 8 or 9 yrs shooting my 204. I did go to RE10x for the 39 SBK's when they became available. Still shoots right @ 3/8 in at 100 yds out of my Howa.Darkker wrote:IME the 204 is not a fickle animal to load for, just start your homework.

My CZ527 204 Ruger shoots dime size groups at 100 yards with 25.5 gr of Benchmark and 39 gr SMK's. I load the length for an AR magazine (I have a 204 Ruger upper).

I've had good luck with Berger 35 gr bullets and I think I was using BL-C(2) and/or RL-10x in my CZ 527 Varmint.
