I see on this site this is a popular load. Does anybody know of a site or manual for this load. I checked the Sierra and hodgdon site and Lyman's manual and can't find any load data. Being relatively new to reloading I like to use "official" load data. Thanks

On the Hodgdon website if you select 40-grain it comes up with the Hornady VMAX. The bearing surface of a 39 SBK is .328" and for the 40 VMAX its .306" by measurements with a comparitor. I have tested the same loads with each bullet in my 204's up to the MAX recommended loads and I've never experienced any excessive pressure issues or indications.
