Anyone using Norma powder in their 204?

If so, which one and where did/do you get your load data from? Norma apparently doesn't make 20-cal bullets, because their manual has no 204 nor any 20-cal data. I didn't see Norma powder listed in my other manuals, but I'm an edition or so behind on a couple of them.

Do you use Norma powder in your 204? If you do, I'd love to hear from you!

Fair enough. I'll take that as a NO!

Just so you don't feel like there's no love here, I checked the Norma website and you're right-no load data for anything smaller than 22 cal. Perhaps an email or phone call to their support staff will get an answer. R!

Thanks, randyman. I considered calling them, but I don't speak Swedish. :) I did send an email, though the Norma.cc website is associated with Norma ammunition and bullets, which is RUAG, whereas Norma powder is Eurenco. In any event, that was Sunday evening, and I haven't heard back from them. I may give Western Powder (American distributor) a call next week, but last I talked with them they don't supply the data for Norma powders.

I got a bit of info from someone with a Berger manual, but only for 201. I was hoping for 200 or 202, but there's still hope. :)

I just got home from work and checked my Berger book and 201 is all that's listed for all bullet weights. All my other reloading manuals are pre-204. If you get a chance, check out my question in the AR section of these forums and let me know if you or anyone you know may have an input. Thanks, Randy.

I'm just waiting on an answer through Facebook messenger! They've been more than helpful in the past! I'm loading my 7mm 08 with Norma 204. It's a bit quaint loading 204 with 204!

I never did get a reply from them. However, from what I've been able to find elsewhere, 204 is just too slow for the 204. ;-)

I've just spent the morning with my neighbor in North Sweden loading with 204! He has had years of contact with Norma for military and retail purposes! He is looking into the 204 Ruger loads for me!

I may add also that Norma throw away entire batches with the slightest incorrectness! They only release complete perfection in powders!

Norma's loads were also a lot hotter in there recommendation tables, but since entering the American market and the risk of legal crap! They have played the dumby proof card.

Thanks for any info you can share, Trimble!

I must say I'm highly skeptical of the notion of reducing pressures since entering the American market, unless their pressures were out of control previously. I have their most-current loading manual, and they load according to CIP procedures and to full CIP pressures. Perhaps you have some data with which you can elaborate?

Yeah, I'm not buying that without some evidence.

Just sent a e-mail to Western Powder (Accurate/Ramshot/Norma) asking if they had any data using Norma powder. I will post what I get from them.

https://www.norma.cc/en/Ammunition-Acad ... -for-krut/ This is a link to a Norma burn rate/pressure chart that you might want to look at. Its different than most because they used a 308 cartridge with the same bullet and powder weight and about 70 different powders. Look at the Rl15/Norma203-b and Rl22/Norma MRP combinations. All 4 powders are made in Sweden and Quick Load show that a 204Rug holds 28.54gr of Reloader 15 and 28.54gr of Nor 203-b. I think there is a "If it looks like a duck" thing going on. PS: a 30-06 case at a 100% fill of Rl 22 or Norma MRP holds 63.55grs of both.
