Found a .22 conversion kit for my Kimber...

Post by Keith in Ga »

a couple of days ago. After a trip to the range with several brands of ammo, I have a better grasp of what will shoot reliably, and what won't. It didn't like any kind of std velocity ammo. My gun really liked Winchester Power Point, and CCI high velocity.
Just wondering what your conversion kit likes, if you have one? I have a good supply of std velocity and match ammo, but just isn't working in my unit. I plan to take my combo to SD and plink the close range targets with the Winchester ammo. Anyone have any leads on where I might find some of the Winchester or CCI ammo? Thanks...

Hi Keith, I've found the same thing, my Kimber .22LR conversion on my Ed Brown frame runs fine with Power Points but doesn't work as well with the plain jane ammo. Gary

Some, or all, may find my comment...odd....but......

Try a different type of lube. STOS, made by Ponsness Warren, is 100% synthetic, contains no petroleum products, has a very wide operating temperature range, and is very slippery.
