Now that is very true, carried a 1911 on patrol for several years and love them. :) ( Especially when riding solo motors )

Bill I have owned several. My current is a Springfield Armoury Trophy match, all SS and pretty to beyhold.

Been carrying one since 1965 in 'Nam, carried one ever since daily. Seven in my safe plus a very nice Browning Hi-Power. Gotta love JMB's 'perfect' design. :D

One of my EDC's, a Kimber Super Carry Ultra Plus in God's caliber.....45ACP of course.

I own numerous 1911’s, but I carry a Sig P229. It sits flatter under a t-shirt and I love the Romeo 1 sight. My Kimber Ultra Compact is just too bulky for hot Texas weather. Plus, I really love the way it shoots. No safety to worry about. Co-witness with the fixed sights is another advantage.

Rick my carry gun is a Kimber Micro 9 based on the 19411 design.
