Huntsman 22 I finaly saw a SR 1911 and I do like the sights. How do you like it now that you have had a little time with it? It is a sexy gun. It has moved to the top of my wish list.

Great pistol. I have maybe 1500 rds thru her now, and like it as much as I did when I picked it up. I shoot it better than my Springfield lightweight.....Don

No wait list. I walked into my gun shop, watched it get put in the display, asked to see it and told him to write me up. Of course that was last May, right after they got into circulation. The same shop now has a list......

Who new this thread would be about the good old days. I heard that there was a Ruger 1911 at one of the local gun stores so I stopped in to see it but they hardly had any guns. They said you could get the brochure and look at the picture but no delivery date. No they didnt have primers, ammuntion or brass but they did have some sleeping bags and fish luers.

Huntsman- you've had the ruger for awhile now. What are your thoughts. I'm in the market for a new 1911 and it's between the the ruger, sig sauer stx, or a springfield range officer. I do plan to buy the emp as well for my carry gun.

I like the Ruger. I don't like the boxy slides on most of Sigs lineup. I have no use for adjustable sights on a user/carry/beater gun.
