the rimfire section has been kinda dead lately. thought I'd liven it up a bit, with a pic of todays trophy kill. Ruger 77/17 at 100 yds. Who says the hummer ain't enough for the big stuff?........scroll down

I do not see any evidence of it having been shot. Believe it is just taking a nap. Other than that, I don't see anything fishy about the photo. You are lucky he did not wake up, could have received serious injuries!

yup, that was one a couple weeks back. it had guts showing, mainly from the larger cal.......grin

I sure love my 17 and 20's.. But so much as to open the one 204 to 500 :eek: :eek: :) :) :) Bill K they are pure fun.

17 HMR is the workhorse on any of my ground squirrel hunts, thats for sure!

A few years ago I kept count of the prairie dogs shot with two Cooper 57 M LVT 17 HM2 and 17 HMR rifles. In the spring when the p dog pups first come out there are a lot of shots within 120 and 150 Yds . Accurate 17 rimfire low muzzle blast and recoil rifles are great for spring shooting . Before plague and poison hit the prairie dog towns in the are I live it was eazy to shoot a bit over 2,000 p dogs with the 17 rimfire rifles during one summer.
