A Couple LR Chucks To Start The Season

I'm just copying and pasting this from another post my dad made so it's all from his perspective. Yesterday was one of our rare-for-this-year sunny and relatively calm days so when my son got home from school, I asked him if he wanted to run out and try for some long range rockchucks. I was shocked ...

Re: Cooper 20VT Meets Skippy

Dave, we got a lot more water since then! People are actually getting evacuated now and the city and volunteers are sandbagging around houses and such  I think somebody said that it was the only place in Oregon to receive aide for drought and flooding at the same time

Re: Cooper 20VT Meets Skippy

Looks like you had a good time, even with this spring weather we have been having! I'm sort of starting to miss my .204 :? I took my 17 Fireball out a couple weeks ago with those Nosler bullets and had a good time. The bullets didn't give any splat factor, but they are fun to shoot. The 25gr. Hornad...

Re: Skippy is up!

I'm hoping there will be some jacks to shoot this summer as we have had some major shoots on them around the alfalfa fields. One weekend a couple years ago, we shot over 225 jacks in the daylight. Our rabbit population has sucked the last 3 or 4 years. They are beginning to make a come back though....

Re: Skippy is up!

Here's a little video I put together yesterday. Nothing too spectacular, but there are some kills there.

Skippy is up!

The squirrels started coming up last week :D I went out today and shot a couple with the .17 Fireball. It was fairly windy and the squirrels were skittish, making for some hard shooting. I managed to kill a few. Hopefully I'll remember to put a couple pictures up here in the next day or two.

Yeah, What V2 said. :) I'm not even sure it made a difference on this stand. The 'cat did get six feet from the call and remote.

Re: Bobcat at 15 yards...no shot! Consolation coyote.

Steve, I think the Jack-Attack works well for most situations. I like that you can adjust speeds remotely. However, the motor is a little noisy IMO. The Mojo Critter is much quieter. Other than this cat, I don' t think that the motor noise has made a difference.

Great run-down, Silverfox! Those 13 3/4# rifles are just begging for a Timber Buttes Outdoors Outlaw sling! (Ask me how I know. :chin: )

Awwww thanks Dad  I don't get on here much anymore, no real good reason though. I did pick up my .17 Fireball that you saw in the pictures.

It was an AMAZING day, no doubt. Been a long time comin' to get my cat (or 3 :D ).

Here's my big chuck. He had a white face like tt35 said, pretty neat. This laptop is really slow today, so I only got one picture uploaded

Re: Great Rockchuck Shoot!

Rick still has us beat, by a lot  I killed the heaviest one ever this year, 13.5 lbs. It was just square when looking down on it. I bet the big ones in there weighed 9-10 lbs, maybe slightly more. They look huge because the others were on the medium-small side. I'll try to remember to upload a ...
