Re: Rat Rodeo Preps

I, like many others who are still firmly locked in winter's grasp, am also looking forward to the start of the rat/PD flying season. For e.g., I plowed 5 inches of fresh snow this morning and we have over 18 inches on the flat and level ground. My recently acquired Cooper model 21 in 204R is awaitin...

Re: Quiet as a Mouse Around Here

I like many others, also try to check in almost daily and provide comments on topics where I think I can provide substance to the conversation or the topic at hand. Admittedly, there are areas where I do not have the relevant experience and so I remain silent rather than speculate or ramble on witho...

Re: Question on shooting water jugs

Tom Kat. Having never shot one gallon water jugs with any caliber, let alone a 204R, I too would be interested in hearing or seeing others experience. Since most factory loads are launched at 4,000fps or better, and I would guess many reloaders are very close to the same, I'll bet the hydraulic expl...

Welcome to the group! You'll find a wealth of knowledge here and speaking from personal experience, you only need to ask, and you'll no doubt find answers to most if not all your build questions. As was mentioned, pictures are always welcome!

Re: Shooting bag filler material choices

JSH. Yes, I looked long and hard to find a shooting table like this one and I too have been very pleased with the purchase. One of the features I like are the adjustable legs which allow the table to be easily set up on uneven terrain. This adjustability also allows the shooter to use the table from...

Re: Alter Obsessions

I'll take some liberty with the Frank Sinatra song "Regrets" Obsessions, I've had a few...but then again, too few to mention ... Yes, like many of you I too have had an obsession or two over the years from building fast cars in my younger days ('57 Chevy, '65 Sunbeam Tiger, '69 GTO) to now...

Re: Sunrise, sunset-

Here are a couple recent pictures, both of a sunset. Can you tell which one was taken on approach into Dallas as we made our way east to visit our son's family over the most recent Thanksgiving holiday and which one was taken in MT? ;) I know...hard to decide...ha!

Re: 204 Ruger, which factory rifle?

Hi Jim. Yes, how true it is...having one Cooper rifle does lead to having/needing another, as the 204R will be joining a Cooper model 21 in 223. Will this morph into still yet another Cooper rifle ending up in the gun safe? Never say never... :chin:

Re: 204 Ruger, which factory rifle?

I thought I'd wrap up this thread, or at least my initial reason for posting the question in the first place, and report that I've FINALLY found the rifle I was looking for! It is a Cooper model 21. I took possession of the rifle two days ago and for the past several days it has been in the very cap...

Re: Winter wonderland

Which begs the question...what is the attraction? Morbid curiosity? Just curiosity? Surely (yes, I know...don't call me Shirley :lmao:) anyone with a TV can find weather across the country. Or for that matter, anyone with a cell phone can search for weather anywhere in the world. So why the attracti...

Re: Kimber contour Lilja barrel

Hi K22! I appreciate you responding to my inquiry as to the availability of the Lilja barrel. For background, I was looking for a factory 204R rifle and I had narrowed down my choices to just a handful of options and the Kimber was certainly among those. Included in the select few rifle choices, was...

I too am impressed with the various assembled shooting platforms displayed in several of Rick's photos! :hail: THAT is something! The flatbed trailers, trucks and the many shooting tables themselves are awesome! Here is a picture of one of the more portable shooting tables I use - emphasis on portab...

And not to leave out those assigned female at birth, here is what my better half carries on her while out and about. And yes, she CAN shoot it! Sig Sauer P365 XL in 9mm.
