What's a 32-20 Blackhawk worth?

I have a BlackHawk 32-20/32 H&R Mag taking up space in my safe. I just don't shoot handguns much anymore and am always on the lookout for a new(to me) varmint rifle. The Black Hawk was a special run made for Buckeye Sports and has the Buckeye leaf on the backstrap. I'm thinking I picked it up ne...

Re: Speer Brass

I have some 222 brass that is 30??years old that is headstamped DWM but the box has both Speer and DMW logo on it. DMW is a Holland based company. I wasn't aware that Speer was still selling brass under any name.

Re: 204 Ruger dot com Postal Shoot (Inaugural) Final Results

Some purdy good shootin' goin' on put there!! Hats off to you, WrzWaldo; one first class job of facilitating the shoot. The spring pdog shoots sounds like fun!! count me in. I guess now I can "legally" say that my CZ will shoot into .663 all day long??!! It's neat to see what other guy's g...

Re: .221 Fireball

Nice looking rig!!! we are all jealus. I've been shooting a Fireball for 20 years and would be hard pressed to be without it. My rig is a Sako Vixen with a #4 Douglas stainless 22" barrel. Just about any plastic tipped 40 grain bullet is going to shoot well in that gun. As far as powder, I pres...

Re: CZ 527 Velocity

IMR 4895 has been a staple in my powder inventory ever since I started loading 36 years ago. I've never had it be "temperature sensitive"; that is , it seems to shoot same point of impact despite what time of year it is and once I have a load figured out in the spring, summer temps cause n...

Re: CZ 527 Velocity

http://i22.tinypic.com/foei5s.jpg This is a pretty good representation of how the gun and I shoot on a good day, altho the load using 2460 powder usually groups a bit tighter. The 40 gr V Max and Ballistic Tip groups are very typical of how my gun shoots these bullets. Factory Hornady 32 grain load...

Re: CZ 527 Velocity

The one box of factory ammo(Hornady 32 gr) that I have shot in my Cz Varminter was well below factory velocity claims(3825fps), but I don't blame the barrel, as I have no problem with getting excellent speed and accuracy from handloads. And altho a bit slow, factory ammo was very accurate. With most ...

Re: Forster Co-Ax press

GW, I've been using the Co-ax Press for 35 years and agree with what the others have said. I have found that Redding and Hornady lock rings work well in it also, so if you already have these brands of dies, I wouldn't go rushing to buy new Forster lockrings. Also, older (70's and early 80's) RCBS lo...

Re: The .204 Ruger in competition

Congrats to KVW. I shot at that range 6 years ago in the spring shoot. It has to be one of the toughest 200 yd ranges I ever tried to figure out the wind and mirage on. It's about three hours from me....just a tad to far to get over there on a regular basis. I do know that the bunch of guys that run...

Re: Childs play

What a cute varmint!! and I don't mean the rabbit. I love hearing from all you "blokes" down under. I remember my son's first fish he caught and first prairie dog kill; it's something you'll treasure for life.

Re: Manning the fenceline - keeping you safe! (pics)

Thanks for the pics! I love Montana even when it's that dry. Kind of ironic that my trip to the Big Sky state was cut short because of........too much water!! When I was there in early June I couldn't get to my best spots because the trails in the pastures were impassible.

My powder of choice with the 39 gr BK is IMR 4895. Tight, consistent groups and a mv of just under 3900 fps. My load is above published max loads, but comfortably safe in my CZ varminter.

No shortages in here in the midwest if you got the $$$$$$$$$$$$$. Just this past weekend I was in Guns Unlimited in Omaha and they had Federal and CCI primers if you had the money.... $37.95 for CCI BR4s and I think around $3200 for 205Ms. I'm not one to hoard, but I remember the last primer shortag...
