Savage Barrels

Hey guys! Used to be a regular here a few years ago. Been a member since 2007. Between life getting crazy and moving to shooting only larger calibers, i fell off the radar a bit. Cleaning out the gun room, I found a few things that need a new home. Here is what I have left: #2 Savage LRPV .204 take ...

Rem 700 22-250 w/ HS Precsion Stock and Scope

For sale is the Remington 700 22 250 with Varmint contour and HS Precsion stock. Comes with BSA Platinum 8-32x44 scope that has target dot reticle and Leupold Rings. Has a very nice trigger pull I would estimate at 2.5lbs. This is a 7-8 year old rifle only shot 11 times. Sighted it in and took it on...

Re: Action/Bedding Screw(s) Torque Specs

If you haven't taken the action out of the stock I would use a Fine Tip Sharpie and mark the screws to the bottom metal as a reference point. Usually about 35 in pounds is sufficient. Over/under tightening can change POI and open up groups. That is why w/ the reference mark on the screws and metal y...

Re: Sending a Savage 204 back Into Savage

What model? How is the rifle shooting?? Can you still slide a piece of paper by it? I have a LRPV, but I bought a Savage 12FV for a backup gun and I put it in a Boyds Laminant stock. So I had to open up the barrel channel myself to get it to fit in the stock. I took a fine tip Sharpie pen and marked...

Re: Remington VSF 204 Update

Just because you don't see why they need the optics taken off isn't going to bypass their rules and regulations to get warranty work done to repair your rifle. Their rules....we have to stick to them. I'm sure it helps reduce liability issues (of the very expensive optics none of use want dinged or ...
