We have used the Nosler 100 gr partition for around 20 years with great success (knock on wood) With IMR4350 near max from several different rifles. Sierra 100 gr Game Kings might do a job for you also.

I had a Weaver Grand Slam 6 x 20 with fine cross hairs. Had to sell it and buy a scope with duplex hairs. If your hunting where there is any kind of brush that you have to deal with, those fine cross hairs will cost you shots guaranteed.

Is there much difference in clarity, brightness, for hunting between these scopes. None of the sporting stores in my area carry enough a selection to compare.

What type of reticle do you prefer for hunting? I have a 6x20 scope with fine cross hairs that I'm having trouble seeing in the field. I have found a vender who will replace with a larger dot and I'm not sure if I will like the dot better then cross hairs that I'm more familiar with.

I started with the 26.0 load and so after a fouling shot my second and third shot went into one hole.


My first shot after cleaning is usually wide of the next shots. That’s why I call it a fouler.

Yes I load the 100 gr Sierra Game King and the 100 Gr. Nosler Partition both with 41.5 Gr
IMR4350 Both loads are at the Max according to my manuals so be extremely cautious. The Game Kings I use for plunking, the Nosler are just for deer. Both loads shoot sub 1" groups.
