I have to go with the .264 Win Mag. I own all sorts of rifles and shoot bean damage deer (except this year) in fields that present shots out to 1000+ yards. I have my .264 calibrated out to 800 yards with the 130gr accubond. I have actualy killed deer with this rifle at 620 yards and shoot 400-500 y...

Hey Gents. The recoil is pretty sharp and a long recoil curve. With 400grs at 2500fps it feels noticably worse than a .458. MUCH worse than a .375. It is not to hard to control. I have been playing with my new in March #1 Tropical .416 Rigby and must say it is a blast to shoot. Easily shoots 400gr 2500+ fps and points like a fine shot gun. Anyone else shooting one? reflex264
