Re: Totally new to reloading.

Ditto what glenn asher says. I started with the Speer manual, and although Hornady's is good and so are others, I always find myself looking back at the Speer book. I guess I just like the format they use. Just get a single stage press or at the most a Turret press. A relative let me use all his rel...

Re: Can someone enlighten me on "barrel twist rates"?

WRZ, good answer. My Howa 1500 has the 1-12 twist. Works perfectly for 32 & 40 gr. V-Max and Sierra 39's. Have not tried the Hornady 45 spire point but my friends .204 with a 1-12 does the job right.

Re: Annual prairie dog hunt!

Sorry to hear about the plaque. Glad you got to help out the rancher with a his Jacks, though. :D

So, now what are you going to do for p-dogs the rest of the summer?

Re: CZ or Remy - which one is better?

My friend has the CZ in 204-and loves it. It has that great trigger and it is a tack driver with several loads.

But-get the one that feels best or looks best to you. The Rem trigger can always be replaced and most likely it is also very accurate.

Re: Banning Of PD Shooting In Co

The vote was unanimous 9-0. We won this battel, but there will be many more ahead. We need to continue to work together, or the antis will seperate us, our way of life, and in place there lack of common sense in matters of wildlife management and gun ownership will take over.

Re: Banning Of PD Shooting In Co

Son of a gun! I'm a day late to sign the petition, but I did see that they got 1589 signatures. But I'm praying that those with common sense leave the p-dogs as they are. If we let antis win this battle they will just be encouraged and go after other states and other species.

Re: Opinion about Taurus handguns.

I've owned a Taurus .38 spl and a .357 mag and two 9 mm (mod 92). All worked very well. With the 9 mm I had only one "stove pipe" in about 3000 rounds. Why do I no longer have it? Sold it to pay the rent several years ago! If I were i nthe market for a new semi auto, I would look real clos...

Re: I need CCI BR4 primers

Very important article. This is the article that got me onto thicker primers. I exclusivly use the CCI 450 now but had been using the Rem 6 1/2 (not 7 1/2). With BLC2 I was getting pierced primers at 29.5 gr. and wondered why-now I know why. Anyway made the swith to 450's and RL15 powder great combo...

Re: I need CCI BR4 primers

Me, I would go back and point out the billing error. I have a small business and I really appreciate it when customers do this for me. Another thing, when those same customers tell me I shorted them on something I believe them.

Re: Ah......a little trigger time! (2008 Prairie Dog Season has

200 rounds is a lot to me! The AZ p-dog season just closed March 31 (re-opens mid June) and the temps were a little cool and the wind 15-30 mph (that sucked) and in the morning I shot about 40 rounds in 2 hours and in the afternoon only 10 rounds. Got plenty of hits and my 10 year old grandson loved...

Re: I need CCI BR4 primers

If you can't get the BR4 you might try the CCI 450. Last year I had the choice of both at Cabelas in Phoenix and chose the 450's (not sure why)-they have been 100% reliable and accuracy is awesome.

Re: P-Dog prep

Crazy,
Do you have p-dogs in Texas? Or do you have to drive up to CO, WY, MT or SD?

Sounds like you will have a lot of fun. I bet my dad would have enjoyed p-dogs if he had been given the opportunity.
