Re: Leupold 3X long tubes are coming back into production

Glenn,

I don't see any info on that on their site. Is there any?

$315.00 shipped, bottom dollar. Otherwise I'll keep it.

No it will not fit a model 25 (as far as I know, I don't own a 25 but I believe it's a different inlet) It will fit a 10-11-or 12.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j261/OldTurtleFiles/Long%20Guns/Ruger1022s004.jpg Nice, very nice!! Mine is the DSP version. I debated on going the same way you have in getting a lam stock and tensioned barrel. Since then I found a DSP with pretty nice wood, I'm planning a mid-weight barrel and u...

Re: 17 HM2

Whew! Really old thread....

Been putting the stuff together myself to do a 10-17m2. Getting there is half the fun. It's a silly little project that I decided to do on a whim, yet I'm very excited about it. I guess it's the kid in me.

Re: Is the 204 enough as a full time coyote gun.

I am looking for a coyote gun. I am looking at 223s and 22-250s just for the fact that I trust 50-55 grain bullets over 39 grain sierras. Can anyone convince me otherwise. Because I love my 204. I thought the same thing until 2004 when I bought a 204. I was a die hard 22-250 guy and now I don't eve...

Re: Mangy Coyote

Hey Melvin, I don't know what part of IL you're in, (BTW that license plate tagline is a good one  ) I'm just 20 minutes east of St. Louis. I've been seeing more and more mange each year. Some have a severe case while others are just barely showing signs. It's been here for a long time but I'm ...

Re: Stevens 322a

It should use a Weaver side mount base but it is likely is not drilled and tapped like the Savage 340. I bought a CZ Hornet a while back. I was a little leary of it's ability to put coyotes down quickly and consistantly. So far I've not taken, or had the opportunity to take, any shots past 100 yards...

Re: Trouble with 700 VLS

Can they do better, the gun, the 204, the combination? As others said, the 204 can be quite accurate. Although I've found it to be a little bit more finicky to load for than the 223. Might be that you just have not found the right combination yet? On the other hand, I had a 22-250 VLS that simply w...

Re: 22 WMR and coyotes

To date I've only killed 4 coyotes with the 22magnum, ( well actually 5, one was shot in the head and just about any bullet in any caliber would have taken him out, we won't count it ) each was close, so my experience is limited. Two were shot with the 30g v-max (CCI-Hornady). Two were shot with the...

Re: A new rifle BRAINTEASER

Worst case, you could take it to a smith and have it re-crowned. It's inexpensive and generally you'll end up with a better than factory crown IMO. Keep us posted.
