Is the VTR the one with the triangle barrel?
If so I had the opportunity to shoot one last week in .308 and it felt like an excellent gun! Definately one worth keeping

Thanks for the tip lee!
I try to bring a rimfire or a few other rifles to shoot to make the cool down period not last as long I have to get occupied otherwise I feel rushed

Here is one I took 2 years ago with my shotgun. Survived a #4shot turkey load at 45 yards, a #4shot Turkey load at 15 yards, but the 430gr. 1 oz rifled slug took care of the jumping at about 10 yards. TOUGH LIL CRITTERS!
