Re: Is this a sign of high pressure?

I checked some once fired HSM and Hornaday Factory loaded brass as well. They all show this same issue to some degree. I took some shoulder measurements on several cases. --------------- HSM ---------- Hornaday ---------- WW(new brass I loaded) Pre-fired--- 1.553 --------- 1.553 -------------- 1.549...

Is this a sign of high pressure?

These 204's were new cases that I loaded up and this is what I ran into. There is a slight ridge about 1/4" up from the case head. The brass looks different towards the case head as well. It's like it's shinier than the rest of the brass. These were loaded 0.5 grains under max and shot out of a...

Rick....... You just might be my new hero. My man cave looks more like a man hole compared to yours. Very nice.

Re: Brand new reloader here, questions on the dies, confused.

This is the advice I've gotten in the past 6 months or so. I've filtered out some and LISTENED to some very serious shooters who are accuracy fanatics. Press - Harrel, Forster or RCBS in that order Case trimmer - Wilson. Amazing!!!!!!!!!... but slow Dies - That's one I've never got a consistent answ...

Hornaday case trimmer "reduced" with 204 collet/shell holder

Like new. I maybe trimmed 25 cases with it. With shell holder and 204 collet guide. I don't need two. I have it for sale on another site as well. First "I'll take it" gets it. $58 shipped.

Re: 40 Berger vs 40 Nosler vs 39 Sierra?

Scheels in Sioux Falls, SD has three plain ones and two that have been camoed out. $749 for the black ones. They are $100 cheaper at one of the Scheels stores in IA.

Re: Queston about a load and Chrono speeds

H-4895 it is. I will pick some up tomorrow. Thanks for the help. Would you stay with the Fed205m primers or try something else?

Re: Queston about a load and Chrono speeds

I read that if you are getting consistent or small groups but a large spread in velocity a primer change might help. The info came from Hogdon's reloading magazine.

Queston about a load and Chrono speeds

I am fairly new to reloading and I am finding it extremely fun. I am working on finding a good load for my DTECH AR 204. It has a 24" Shilen barrel with a 1 in 10" twist and so far I am extremely pleased. I have gone through the following steps in my reloading process. Sized the brass - un...

Re: Tikka T3 204 ?

Thank you Sir, you just saved me $320. I really appreciate the heads up. For anyone else looking, Scheels in Sioux Falls SD also has several T3's in 204 and they'll match the $649 from the Iowa Scheels.

Re: Tikka T3 204 ?

I got hosed then. $750 + 6% sales tax = $795. 150 mile round trip (10 gallons of gas at $3.25 a gallon = $32.50) and three hours of my time + $20 fee to ship from my FFL and a $30 shipping charge. I give to charities but my time is worth something. Would you let me know were you found a Tikka 204 at...

Tikka T3 204 ?

Is a Tikka 204 T3 $1000 less of a gun than a Sako 85? I know they are both made by Sako but the price difference is huge. Anyone have any experience with one? How do they shoot?
