Getting frustrated with my CZ Varmint

I have about 200 rounds through this gun. I have no less than 12 different loads with 3 different powders and 4 different bullets that will shoot the first 2 rounds into dern near 1 hole at 100 yards and then the rifle will fling the 3rd shot out and open the group up to well over an inch. I have be...

35 Bergers:Whats your favorite powder?

I tried the Bergers when my CZ was brand new and didnt have any luck with them. Now that my rifle seems to be broken in, I am going to try them again. So far I have worked up 2 loads one with Varget and one with BLC 2. I started with the minimum charge and worked up to max in 2/10 grain increments. ...

Re: trouble finding good load

I dont have a micrometer, or I would measure them. lakota, you really need to get a caliper. Re: trouble finding good load

I'm working up a load right now with Dog Towns using IMR 4895 starting at 27.3 grains. Have 4 groups loaded up at different OAl's. Hopefully I'll be able to shoot next Sat. Have fun Greystone, have you noticed any problems with some of your Dogtown bullets seeming to be undersized? I bought a box, ...

Re: Sierra 39gr BK recall

I had a box that I found 4 .224" bullets in. They told me to keep the .204 bullets and mail them the empty box and the .224 bullets. Friday I get an e-mail that they are shipping me two new boxes to make up for the 4 .224 bullets. : That works for me! :D

Re: trouble finding good load

Hello, this is my first post here. I have a CZ 527 Varmint in .204 Ruger and I was having trouble finding a decent load too. After about 100 rounds my new gun started to "settle in" and is shooting decent groups now. My best groups so far are with 26.8 grains of BenchMark and the 32 grain ...
