Re: Bore solvent

Maybe I should have said it differently...Nylon bristled brushes with a stainless steel base, the reason for this is that the brass brushes have copper in them and the boretech will always try to remove it. meaning that your patches will always show green copper fouling.even when the bore is clean. ...

Re: Bore solvent

I use Boretech Eliminator for both copper and cabon fouling. Works on both and No Smell to get the wife complaining. Be sure to use stainless steel brushes. Has No Ammonia and will not damage barrels. I get mine at Midway USA...cant buy it in stores.

Re: 300 SAUM vs 300 WSM

I would get the Winchester short mag, I have the RSAUM. Nice little cartridge but it is fading fast. I dont think that it will last much longer. The Winchester seems to be doing very well. I have no doubt that either cartridge will fine for Elk.I dont use my RSAUM very much, I got a lemon 700SS BDL....

HeadspaceQuestion

I tried to post this earlier but it didnt take so Ill try again When setting your Sizer die, how can you tell if you are headspacing off of the shoulder or the belt on a belted magnum case? I am in the process of reforming 7mm mag cases to 270 wby mag, and I was told to be sure I was headspacing off...

Re: HOWA 1500

I wouldnt trade my Howa 1500 for anything. I use 39 gr Sierra Blitzkings with H 4895 powder, I love this combination, but the coyotes hate it.

Re: mini mauser?

If you are talking about the mini mauser which is a scaled down version of the Mark X, It is made by Zastava. I had two Mark X's . I bought them as barrelled actions and stocked them myself, they are strong and accurate. Im sure the mini mauser is just as good. Remington is importing them and sellin...

Coyote Pup

This coyote pup strolled into my back yard this morning. By the time I got the camera out, he was in my front yard. He saw me sneaking up and boogied. I lip squeeked and he stopped long enough for me to snap a picture. Then he put it in high gear, and I had to take the pics on the run, Sorry I didnt ...

Re: new rifle

Go for the Howa 1500, I have three of them and they all shoot under an inch right out of the box. What ever brand you decide on, try galleryof guns.com and click on their gun genie. fill out the info and check out the prices. Pretty darn good deal, I bought my last three rifles from them, saved a hu...

204 Mania

I was getting dressed to go to the gym this morning and my wife yelled at me that there was a coyote in the back yard, I looked out the window and there was a coyote sitting on its haunches looking for something to pounce on. I thought I would hav a little fun, so I opened the window and lip squeeke...
