I was told that the tighter a group at 100, the better,because it will start to spread out further down range. The only other thing I haven't done it check runout on bullets and cases.

Why such a heavy bullet? Because a lighter bullet doesn't stabilize, in a 1:9 barrel, to 3/8's of an inch at 100. 87gr bullet for Deer hunting? I also use forester neck turner.

Runout is about a thou and a half for bullet and case neck.
My not fired lapua brass isn't neck turned.
I normally use fired brass.
