Re: where to go from here

Is there a possibility that the gun may have some bedding problems? Fliers like those on the targets usually point to bedding. someone at the range mentioned that also. How do I fix this and approxomately what will it cost? Varmitslayer Looking at your second target, 32 gr. V Max, 25.6 gr. RX10. Is...

where to go from here

OK I finally got some shells reloaded and got out to try them out. The wind was blowing pretty good so I'm blaming part of the groupings on that. All loads are done with 7.5 rem primers, Hornady brass, and rx10. Five round groups at 100 yards. Coal is 2.25 http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww205/dc...

Re: The Other Morning

I come from NE nebraska and haven't seen a coyote w/o mange for about 7-8 yrs. This year haven't seen a coyote back there period. Hunted for about 5 days over xmas (calling and driving) and barely seen a track. I'm afraid eradication may be the only cure. Fortunately coyotes will adapt and once it g...

Re: Paying to shoot prairie dogs

Ok, you've got me completely confused. Are you looking for a place to hunt or selling your services? Each post seems to indicate something different than the last. I guess I'm not looking for a place to hunt I was just wondering how much interest and if it would be feasible to lease some ground in ...

Re: Paying to shoot prairie dogs

I'm in eastern wyo. and you have to have landowner permission to hunt anything. I'm not sure about public or gov. land but I would imagine it's open season. We shoot mostly from the pickup window(do not try this at home) not off public roads of course. I'm hoping to find somewhere I can sit do...

Nice buck. What area were you hunting. I hunted the missouri area growing up. Had some real monsters there at one time. Before the leased hunting era.

calling pdogs

Someone told me today that if you use a woodpecker call about ten minutes after the dogs dissappear they will come back thinking its all clear. Has anybody tried this or is he full of bs.

Re: Paying to shoot prairie dogs

I'm not looking for somewhere to hunt I was just wondering if perhaps there might be a sideline there to pickup some extra cash. I can look out my front door and pop a dog. Just thinking it might be worth it to lease some ground for hunting.

Re: cost of reloading the 204

My wifes the greatest. She had me convinced to buy a 17 hmr because of cost. Then surprises me with the 204. The first time she has ever been able to surprise me with a gift without me finding out before hand. I also have a couple 22s and 2 30-30s one a pre 64 model 94. I haven't had a good varmit g...

Re: cost of reloading the 204

If you are a casual shooter, and don't shoot much, it would be hard to amortize out the cost of the dies, press, and scale required to start relaoding though. right now I am a casual shooter but only because I can't justify $1 a shot at pdogs. but for .20 to .30 I can cause some severe damage. I wa...
