Re: Varmint Battery, or at least 2/3 of it.

Thank you. I shoot a (among other guns) a .22 Hornet Kimber left hand and I use a 6.5 -20 Leupold so I know what you mean about being able to see up close. And at this time I use a 10x Leupold on the .17 HMR of which I have three.

Re: Favorite Loads

Go Faster

How did the first group look? I have a friend that has brought me his CZ .204 to work up a load for him. I have the 40s but don't think I have any Varget.

Re: Favorite Loads

Success! The bedding did the job. I shot two loads of Ball C Lot 2 and Berger 25 grain match and the V-Max 32 grain Hornady. Several groups of less than an inch at 100 yards and two or three that can be covered with a dime. (.7 inch) I have a friend that says when he gets a Ruger 77 the first thing ...

Re: Favorite Loads

Well, I got the Ruger .204 rifle back from my smith and he did a great job on the trigger. It is now 2.5 pounds with no creep and just what I wanted. I watched him do the job. Groups were not much better so I took the gun back to him last week for a bedding job and picked it up about three hours ago...

Ruger rifle

I see a lot of rifles that are being used to shoot the .204 Ruger round. But, most of them are not Ruger made. Why are there not more RUGER rifles being used?

Re: Favorite Loads

Can't say that I have a favorite load as yet. Still looking. My real question is I see so few rifles made by Ruger in this list. I bought a Ruger Hawkeye because they came out with it in a left handed version. I just hope I get the results that many of you have. Will say this about the new LC6 trigg...

Re: LC6 Trigger

I thank you for your information. I'll look in to a trigger. Next question... So far both handloads and factory Hornady and Winchester with 32 grain bullets have been just in one inch at 100 yards. I have a 10power scope on it the gun. Have not done anything to the gun but would like the lighter pul...

Re: 204 case trimming preferences

I just happened to stumble on this post. I've been using the Forster for 35 or so years. And you just can't beat it. I also use the fine nuts (2) and one of those cheap $6.00 electric screwdrivers to trim. The guys before me have given you the very best info about the Forster. I do all they talk abo...

LC6 Trigger

My new left handed Hawkeye .204 has the factory trigger. I've been told that the LC6 stands for Light, Crisp and 6 pounds. Seems to be that way but it has some creep and the 6 pounds to pull it. Can these be worked over or should I just bit the bullet and buy an aftermarker trigger?

"Now, at 200 yards "AND" if I do my part, it will shoot sub .25" groups 5-shot groups all day long until a cleaning is in order." Amazing. How often do you "do your part" to get those groups? About how many have shot like that all day long before you have to do a c...

Re: .22 Hornet fans??

I've been shooting the .22 Hornet for a number of years along with the .218 Bee. I have a Model 82 Kimber in each of the rifles. The Hornet is a great little cartridge and if you can find a Hornet that will keep its shots in an inch at a 100 yards you will enjoy the gun and round. My Hornet never wo...

Timmney Trigger

New to this forum and I've just bought my first Ruger Left Handed rifle. Hawkeye 77 in .204.
I would like to replace the 6 pound pull trigger with a lighter one as most of you do I would guess. My question is does Timmney make one?

Thanks,
Dew
