SAVED $1300 ON A COOPER!
How did I do it? By waiting one more night to purchase the darn thing! Pulled it up this morning before calling the dealer and it's marked "SALE PENDING". I sent an e-mail to make sure I'm next in line. Being a left handed gun in .17 Mach IV, I foolishly thought I had time to dink around. ...

Re: A Question of Caliber
I'm in trouble now! These silly little centerfires can become quite consuming. Thanks for the information everyone.

Re: A Question of Caliber
I'm having a hard time finding a great enough difference in performance to justify removing a good shooting .270 barrel. So I might try splitting hairs in the opposite direction, small and explosive. I have a chance to get a used Cooper M21 in .17 Mach IV. Is this different enough from the .204 to j...

RL-10x In Stock
My local gun shop has some RL-10x in one pound jugs. I paid $23.00/pound. He said he could get a significant discount on a 40 pound order and can actually get it. The store is in Rufus, OR. His name is Bill, I know him to be completely trustworthy. The store is called Braggables, phone is 541-739-29...

Re: .204 ruger on a deer?
Maybe Red Two and Chicoredneck could start their own forum. Something like ".204 Safari, centerfire David and Goliath". I know I should mind my own business but, this topic is not going to find any traction here.

Re: A Question of Caliber
Sorry for being so vague, I did not want to influence any suggestions. Will definately hand load, and make use of the -06 length action. Do not need a big game oriented cartridge for this gun. Thought maybe there was something cool to think about that was not availeable from the factory.

A Question of Caliber
Suppose you had a Remington 700 in .270, purchased new in 1980. If you wanted to re-barrel to a different caliber for long range coyote sized targets, what would the catridge be? Who's barrel would you buy? Keep in mind the choice needs to compliment a .204, not replace it. I know the .270 is a winn...

Re: 204 muzzle breaks
CUSTOM12U,
I have a friend who shoots the "braked" VTR, not only is it loud but, the report is EXTREMELY harsh! Even he finds it offensive.

NEED BOOK
Would like to buy a copy of Precision Shooting and Reloading by Bennett and Sinclair if anyone has an extra copy. It is currently out of print and Sinclair Int. is not sure if it will be re-printed this year or not. There is some availability on the internet.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: harvested hogs and deer with superb results. 204 ruger
Glad you are happy with the caliber. Since my opinion is BS, I will say no more.
