Re: New custom in my hands.

CG - Thanks for the photos. You have an eye for taking some nice high-quality pictures! :D The fur on those coyotes looks prime! Is the fur price in Canada any better than that in the US? The last picture is epic and should grace a hunting magazine. :wtg: You’re very welcome and I’m glad you enjoy....

Re: New custom in my hands.

CG - It sure looks like your new build got the job done! Congratulations! Judging by where the coyote dropped, the 204 must have stopped him/her in its tracks. Either that or the picture was staged. In either case, it's nice to see your new rifle was up to the task. One other observation, the coyot...

Re: New custom in my hands.

I finally took this rig out to pop a coyote. I’ve gotten so used to taking out my 6mm Rem AI that it was actually hard for me to take a different rifle. Calling was poor today with the warm weather but, managed to get the 204 “Blooded”. It’s been long overdue.

Re: Anyone Home?

Thank you gentlemen. He’s a very nice specimen. Absolutely, he is getting a shoulder mount. Probably a wall pedestal as I don’t have one of those yet. I’m relegated to the basement with all my taxidermy. The plus is, when we built; I insisted on 9’ finished height on the ceilings. It accommodates th...

Re: Anyone Home?

CoyoteGettr - It's rough when work gets in the way of playtime. 😉 Since you claim to have bagged a "Booner", there is nothing stopping you from sharing a few pictures of your magnificent WT so we can be envious of your success. I've found this group to be a visually oriented bunch, and we...

Re: Anyone Home?

First time logging in for a little bit here. I’ve been swamped with work for months. Chased Whitetails most of November. Got another good one. Two years in a row now with big boys and this years will actually net B&C Typical. I hope to get calling sooner than later. Still have yet to “fur” my ne...

Re: Let's see your relaoding setup

CG....you need a safe, buddy. Is there one we can't see? Even though it's under construction, it looks like it'll turn into a very nice handloading bench/area. I forsee you spending quite a bit of time in there... Well, there sort of is a safe that can’t be seen. :D When we built, I had the entire ...

Re: Let's see your relaoding setup

Very nice set up. I’m sad to say, this is one of the only pictures I’ve snapped of mine and, it wasn’t even completed yet. You get a touch of an idea though. SWEET setup!!! Take another of it in current stage. I'm still figuring out what I'm going to do over the InLine Fabrication railing.... Thank...

They are yes. I’ve thumped a pile of coyotes with them. Hides aren’t worth anything as of late though. Whatever thumps hardest will get the nod.

Re: New custom in my hands.

Well, I ended up coming full circle on load development. Turns out that I could have stopped where I started. I tried H4895, Benchmark, Varget, CFE223 and Reloader 10x. Primers were 205M, CCI BR4 and 450. H4895 and 205M gave me the most consistent velocities. I tried 40gr Vmax, 39gr SBK, 40gr & ...

Re: Dura-Touch Madness

A friend of mine is a Browning nut. He’s dealt with this a couple times already. I have a Cynergy with that finish. Just waiting for my turn. It’s such a shame. Other than the lack of longevity, it’s a very nice finish.
