Try as I might, I couldn't get my Cooper 1:12 to fire 32g bullets well. 39g SBK's and even 40g Bergers work very well for me.

When opening the bolt after firing, my Cooper seemed a bit tight for several hundred rounds. It would seem that once I began using fire formed (Norma) brass, both opening and closing were constant and very, very smooth.

I got Talley's with mine. The look is a bit different than Leupold, but I like it just as much, if not more. No lapping required, either.

I tried 3/4" squares for a very short time, then switched to 1" squares. They seem to be perfect to me.

If you're going for a load workup scenario I've read that Berger is not going to continue moly coated bullets. I wrote them to either confirm or deny this because I am just about to place my next 35g order, but never got a reply. I'd hate to work up the ideal load only to find the bullets were no lo...

I use between 24.4 and 24.7 of 10x when using 39g SBK's. Accuracy works best in my 1:12 twist Cooper between 3600 and 3650 fps. On hot summer days I go down as low as 24.4 and on cooler days use 24.6 or 24.7. Accuracy drops off just a bit at speeds above 3650.

Just curious... since my only .204 is a Cooper, are they considered production for the Postal Shoot?
