Re: WS2 Coated Bullets

OK. I want to be convinced of the coating's effectiveness. I have heard the good and bad of moly coated bullets and even tried some a few years back but just decided it was not worth it. By big question is, "Do coated bullets really make a difference?" In my mind, when a bullet starts into...

Re: Notifications?

I just wanted to let you know that I made a change to the forum today that should have fixed the notification issue. I ran a test where I "subscribed" to a thread and I DID get an email when someone made a new post to that thread!

Give it a try!

Re: Fulfillment of a life long dream!

OK. Here is my story and I'm sticking to it. Sorry it's soo long! I will give you a little background because it is relevant to the rest of the story. I grew up in Wyoming and always enjoyed the outdoors, hunting being a big part of that. My dad has always been a big hunter and by the time he was th...

Re: Fulfillment of a life long dream!

Thanks to all of you for your kind words and thoughts. And thanks Glen A. I havn't had time to hardly think and I am only running on 2 hours of sleep last night. I will have a little bit of time tomorrow to tell the whole story for those that want to hear. Again thanks. It has been exciting preparin...

Fulfillment of a life long dream! ... Updated with story!

Last night just before dark, I was able to finally get a mature bull. He's not huge, but he's not small either. This was a general tag, not a limited entry hunt. I feel very fortunate and blessed! My second oldest son, Kody was with me as well as my good friend Victor who's help with the messy work ...

Interesting new 26 gr. bullet from Barnes

I just talked to Barnes and they gave me more information about their new bullet for the .204 Ruger. For it's weight, it is supposed to be extremely long but he did not have the specifications. It will be designed like their other Varmint Gernade bullets, flat based with no polymer tip. However, bec...

Rugerdogdog: I have had the avatars turned off since the inception of the site because avatars are one of the most easily abused features of a forum. I want this to be a clean, family friendly site. The policing of avatars is something that I just don't want to do nor have the time to do. However, I...

Re: There she blows

It is interesting how the two American rifles blew the barrels while the others did not. I would be curious to know if the test was biased in any way or if in fact, the Remington and Browning would be more dangerous in this situation.

Re: Glenn or Glen

I am sorry this happened. The feature of deleting old posts may not be as stable as I thought. My intention was that if a post/thread had not been viewed for more than 700 days, it probably was not much use to anyone. However, if other posts/threads got deleted that did not meet this criteria, there...

Re: Glenn or Glen

I do have backups of before the purge so if you are looking for something specific, I might be able to find it. But there is no way of merging that information back into the current database without loosing everything after the purge. Sorry.

Re: remington 700 204?

"Critter" originally posted the photograph and I think it is his gun. You might want to send him a PM to get more information about the specific gun.

Re: Glenn or Glen

Yes, that is correct. In an effort to keep the size of the board to a managable level, there was a purge of the system to get rid of old posts. The system is/was supposed to only get rid of threads that had not been viewed for 700 days. This means that all threads that had not been viewed or read by...
