Many changes to the forum!

You will obviously notice many new changes to the forum. We hope you will like them. The changes became necessary due to an overwhelming amount of maintenance due to malicious bots (robots) that create users with the sole purpose of promoting their products and/or filth. :wall: This new version of t...

So if there are powder burns on my target, does that disqualify me? :shhh:

Larry and captkb:

Welcome! I am a bit late on the welcome because I just spent the last week on an Alaskan Cruise. Just can't have enough good scenery and food, and man, there was plenty of both.

Enjoy the site and hope to hear from you often!

It is good to hear from you folks from down under. I have always admired Australia and the stories from the outback. Hope you enjoy the site and more importantly, enjoy shooting all your guns! Hope to hear plenty more from you.

My most accurate load to date is 29.7 gr BL-C(2) and Sierra 39 gr. BlitzKings. The 40 gr. V-Maxes shoot almost as well. I get good velocity with this load as well.

Bob:

Welcome. Hopefully the site will continue to provide you with the information you need.

Too bad I don't live closer to Virginia or I would also become your friend and help you out with the deer and turkeys! :D

Cool place to live! My parents just passed through there last week while delivering a motor home from Minnesota to AK. I was also in North Pole AK two years ago while on vacation. Great place!

Welcome and enjoy the site!

Welcome wyo. I grew up in the kitty-corner side of the state. I visited devils tower when I was younger and remember seeing tons of prairie dogs. Sounds like they are still there so you need to work a little harder! :D

Michael: You should like the rifle. It is not a true target rifle but it is a good carry rifle. I use handloads and am still trying to work up an accurate load. What I have now will usually put three within an inch, but I am trying to get something better. A friend of mine has a .375 Ultra Mag. He l...

Harvey: Welcome aboard! I actually love where we live. I am a country boy myself. Grew up in an area where the closest house was 300 yds away. My wife and I live in a semi rural area (well it was at one time) with big 1 acre lots. But we are surrounded by city. Some times it drives me crazy but the ...

Mudturtle: Welcome. It is good to have you here. It may take awhile to build up brass. I checked with MidwayUSA yesterday and they said they don't know when the next run of Winchester brass will be coming. It looks like Remington will be getting into the brass manufacturing game but nobody knows whe...

Welcome Rattler. It is good to finally hear from you. Sounds like you are taking advantage of all that good Nev. coyote country. I just wish I could make it to the range as often as you. We don't have a rifle "range" close by so we have to drive for 45 minutes out to the badlands in order ...

Welcome Ole! It is always good to hear from people around the globe and learn more about them.

Does anybody know of any FMJ bullets that Ole could use? I am not aware of any from the big manufactures but there might be some available from one of the smaller companies.

Thank you Graymist. I will take that as a huge compliment coming from someone as accomplished as yourself. I look forward to the things I will learn from you.
