FFP Reticles

Anyone use an FFP Reticle? If so, how do you like it for Varmint hunting?

Does the reticle cover up too much of the animal, say a PDog?

Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44

Anyone have experience with these scopes? I really want to like this scope :) It seems to have all the bells and whistles I'm looking for, only the price scares me :( You know the saying, "You get what you pay for" How can they only charge 400.00 when other scopes of the same type, go for ...

Re: Kimber Rifles

The scope has a 40mm objective, I used Leupold Low rings and Dual Dovetail bases as you surmised. Nice and low over the bore, enables a very good cheekweld. Don't know about the Talley's though. Did you upgrade the wood or just order the 84M Varminter in 204R? You're about to find out just how long...

Working up a load

When you start to develop a load, how many grains do you increase each time?

i.e. If your starting minimum is 25grs. and your ending is 27.1grs.

How do you proceed? .1, .2, .3...... grs each time you start another test batch?

Re: Kimber Rifles

Thanks, I put it on order. 3 Month wait :(

Are those scope bases on your rifle Dual Dovetail Luepold?

I have a 6.5-20x40mm VX-3 going on it. Can I use low rings? I was also looking at Talley Xtra Low Rings. They are .300, I don't know if that would clear the bell or not?

Re: The 12th Annual Rat Rodeo - 204 Style

It was my first time shooting these critters, I'm hooked :D I got to try out my new .204, and when I ran out of rounds for it, I went to my dads .17 Fireball. Only tro...
