Re: Hello everybody!!

Welcome back Glen! I sure can relate; life gets in the way. We get busy and we shoot less, it's the way of the world. But you DO need to warm up that 204 barrel to make sure there's no spider webs building up in there. Besides, I know you miss the smell of burnt rifle powder first thing in the morni...

Re: Which trigger

traders (Kevin) is right. There can only be a compromise here, as you can't have both worlds in regard to field weight pull, bench pull, or plinking pull. Make up your mind and get the one you can afford, probably one in a pull weight range of 16 oz., as any less, and the lady will not like it, and...

Re: Skippy Flies via 32gr Motivation

Good report, sounds like a great trip. What's with Dan wearing a winter coat?? You said the weather was great. LOL Thanks for posting the pics. Good detecting there, jpx. ;) The weather was great, but somehow I failed to mention that the trip happened in early May this year. Mornings were a b...

Skippy Flies via 32gr Motivation

Yes sir, Skippy did indeed fly recently, with the proper motivation provided by Nosler 32gr BT's. We spent five great days afield with our 204's, HMR's, and my 20 Vartarg here in Oregon. Weather was about perfect, rats were everywhere on about every field we shot. Here's a few pics of the ...

Re: Fell victim again

TF, Not to worry in regard to that long jump. This anomaly is standard for all factory chambered 204R's. My Sako 75V jumps it's bullets almost .180" too, and the accuracy is amazing considering this huge jump. You'll never reach the lands and have enough bullet in the case (any bullet) for proper ne...

Re: To All Users

Thank you Tarrin for cleaning up the forum that was being destroyed by foreign nationals spamming every post we had here. Your efforts are very much appreciated for getting us back on track. Thanks to you and your dad for providing this forum for our family of small caliber shooters, and for all the...

Re: Spammers have taken over the 204 Forum!

Bill and others, I'm done here as a moderator until the administrators wake up and create the system used on other forums to prevent spammer bots from posting. I just cannot keep up with all the crap, porn, bogus sales pitches being posted by the minute by these cretins. It's frustrating to spend an...

Re: Which Forster Bushing for resizing Nosler brass?

I know this post is now dated, but for the record, all my .20 cal loads mic .228" at the neck with a bullet seated, no matter what brass I'm using. I neck size with a .226" bushing.

Re: Another fruitcake

Bill, The moderators can't take these morons off to prevent more spam posting, only the administrators can. All we mods can do is delete their crap when we see it. We need the forum feature that requires you to read a cryptic text and type it in to allow forum entry. This keeps out the 'auto post bo...

Spammers have taken over the 204 Forum!

Daily now I spend about an hour deleting spam posts here. I'm getting tired of it. Admin : Do SOMETHING to limit all these bots from posting spam every night. We need to add the feature that makes a new member actually read and then type a code to admit entry, or this forum is toast. Today it ...

Re: Is the 204 Ruger right for me...?

Is the 17HMR still effective with body shots at 200 on rock chucks? Quick & clean kill, or a lot of crawl offs, etc.?? From my experience since the 17HMR came out, I quit body shots after two seasons for anything over 100 yards. Just too many crawl-offs. However now at any range I only head shoot c...

Re: Is the 204 Ruger right for me...?

Hi Brent and welcome to the 204um. I feel your pain, having been forced to live in CA for a number of years after the war before I 'broke out' for the promised land. The laws there in regard to firearms are getting just down right stupid. What else could one expect with the likes of Pelosi and Feins...

Re: Took Grandson shooting

Nice! Looks like you've now got a lifetime shootin' pardner! :D What's he shooting there? Looks like it could be a CZ in 22LR or 17HMR with a ten round magazine. I see he's shooting off a RASS; are those now discontinued? Have not seen them advertised for some time now. I wish all the alfalfa farmer...
