Re: vortex warranty dissapointed me/corrected

Did you get an external power adjustment ring with your new glass? Just curious if they send those with each new scope.

2013 Idaho Elk Hunt

Had a great elk hunt this year in Idaho. My hunting partner scored first at 8:30 opening morning. By the time I made it to where he had dropped his animal he had it half way worked up. It was a very nice low 300 class bull. http://i329.photobucket.com/albums/l388/Rashgar1/20131101_145040.jpg Determi...

DPMS AR-10 Upper Question

I have an Oportunity to pick up an Unfired DPMS AR-10 Upper in 7.62x51 with a 1 in 10 twist 18" barrel. I have no experience with AR and was curious if anyone knows the accuracy of these barrels or any known problems.

Thanks

At 30 feet or so, in a 8.5 power scope that dog looked huge.

Starting the New year off Right.

Put the call in to my hunting partner on new years eve to check and see if he had his 2011 Licence. Good to go, and we are set for new years day dog hunt. Was a great morning here in Boise Idaho, 10' F, 5-10Mph winds out of the SE with crystal clear skies. First two stands are a bust, but on a day l...

Landed a dream job.

Well folks, I have posted a few things here and there about the hunting in Boise Idaho. I thought I might have to sell my toys after I got layed off of work after 8 years last October. I think it was just Gods way of telling me there was a better position open for me. I landed the Inventory Controle...

Re: First Coyote hunt.

Went out again this weekend. Nailed two dogs today. First one was a running shot. She came in fast and hard from the left of our mojo critter. Caught our scent and bolted straight away. I hit her in the back of the neck at 75 yards with my first shot dumping her. No picture though...phone was in the...

First Coyote hunt.

Went out with a friend Saturday 10-16-10 just south of Boise ID. It was my first time Coyote hunting. He was running the call and had designated me as the shooter. First stand was a bust. Gravel pit was in operation that morning breaking rocks and the sound was echoing up the draw very loudly. So we...

Re: Whats your Work Up Method

I have that exact rifle, the Savage 12 VLP. I got mine for $849. Shoots very well. http://i329.photobucket.com/albums/l388/Rashgar1/Rifle%20set/Rifle006.jpg My Budget was tight and I purchased a KonusPro M30 8.5x32x52 scope, Mil dot, with 1/4 MOA target turrets. I used Leupold base and 30mm rings. T...
