Re: Bullet Comparators

Thanks guys! Have a Sinclair hex-type on the way. Thanks for the help. I finally got to shot this past weekend. Tried 10x & 35gr. Bergers. Didn't do to bad @ a 100 yrds but had a little trouble with vertical climbing. Never have that problem with 40gr bullets. I'm sure barrel heat was the issue ...

RL-10x load data

I just purchased rl-10x powder this past weekend and I can't find any load data for the 35gr. Bergers. I have read on this forum that a lot of you use this powder/bullet combo. If would please share some of your data and experiences I would really appreciate your time. BTW- I shoot a Rem lvsf 1-12 ....

Re: 35gr. berger bullets & benchmark

I am also a huge hunter. I love to hunt ground hogs! But I REALLY enjoy shooting paper. Some day I will have a bench gun. Back to it. I have no idea why my gun shoots the 40's. Seems that most people have a problem shootin' the 40's in a 1-12 twist gun. My gun does not shoot the 32's @ all. I bought...

Re: 35gr. berger bullets & benchmark

I'm shootin' a factory rem 700 lvsf. I had a terrible time @ first due to my screw up. Waiting to put a custom barrel on that receiver. I have a good freind that works for douglas barrel. Hate to pull the barrel off a good shootin' gun. It does shoot pretty good for a factory barrel gun. That's why ...

35gr. berger bullets & benchmark

Went out shootin' this evening since I sent my scope to Leupold to have the reticle changed to a (.0020) target dot. So I loaded up some 35gr bergers to also try. Shot my normal 40gr v-max to get me back in business with good success. So I tried the bergers and they did pretty good. (26.4)gr of benc...

gunsmiths

This may be a loaded question, but I would like some of your guys thoughts on a good gunsmith. I am looking for someone to do a blueprint job on my remy .204. I want an individual, not a company to do the work. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Re: lookin' for help!

I have one more question. I shot again this weekend and it did a lot better. .75 in groups @ 150 yrds. I took the gun out of the stock and started over from scratch. I believe the gun may have been binding up some how. The factory stock in the lvsf is pillar bedded. Does it have a specific torque or...

lookin' for help!

I am new to your site, but need some help. I purchased a used .204 in a remington light varmint a few months back. Seems to do REAL well with remy factory 40gr. V-max. Tried 32gr. V-max and it "slings" them all over the paper. So I loaded some 40gr. V-max with Benchrest this past weekend a...
