You can get an idea about neck tension by using calipers to measure the neck of a loaded round and then measuring at the exact same point on a neck sized round before a bullet is seated. Not the most accurate way in the world, but it will give you an idea. Fore example for a .204..........measures ....

The dies that I was using are still almost new so dirt shouldn't be a problem, but I can check. I do clean the inside of the neck, however this is brandnew brass that I was neck sizing so no dirt there either. I'm using a Redding neck sizer, but it is not bushing style.

I'm shooting .243 win. and have great luck with 75 grain Vmax. I like the BC of this bullet and it's got great long range capability. Puts the yotes down and out!
