Re: .17HMR Hornady's Splitting Brass
I shoot the sweet little 17HMR a lot and have never had such a problem. I only shoot Hornadys 17gr vmax and love that lil bullet. I shoot a Ruger and my buddies shoot the savages. They havent had an issue either. Bad batch of brass??

Re: The cows and I team up.......
way to go!!!! I'm excited to start the coyote season myself. The crops around here are just starting to come off the fields. In about 2 weeks I will be able to start my coyote season. Hope I can hit a new yote count for this season.

Re: neck tension in an AR
I am using boat tail bullets, SBKs. I do chamfer my cases, but I do it very lightly. I may need to chamfer them slightly more. I have been using Hornadys Case lube. I believe that I do not need to use lube when using Reddings Nitride bushings. Am I right? Or should I still use some? When I neck size...

Re: neck tension in an AR
My last experience with crimping on a non cannalure bullet in the .204 was not real great. I prefer no crimp. I do realize though that the taper crimp would be better than the roll crimp. I wish that Lee made a factory crimp die for the 204. I like their crimp tools. My main question is: Are small s...

neck tension in an AR
I've got a question for you experts on neck tension. I'm reloading for my 204, and I've got a Redding competition die set. (which I absolutely love) My loaded rounds measure .2265 around the neck. I have a .225 and .224 bushing. So far I've only test fired loads from my 225 bushing and am pleased wi...

Re: 77/22 trigger?
Timney sells a spring and sear kit for the Ruger. I have one in my 77/17 hmr. I'm very happy with it, light trigger pull and it makes it feel like a whole new gun. With the sear kit you keep your same trigger and it's just a matter of replacing the sear. I had to do some filing with the 3 position s...

Re: large cal. rifles
There are many great calibers for big game. I use the 7MM Rem Mag and have great luck with it. I would give very strong consideration to a 7MM. The ballistics in comparison to other common calibers are great. .300 Mag is also great but you may want to consider the cost of ammo and increased recoil. ...

Re: 35gr. berger bullets & benchmark
well stick to it lol. Since I shoot coyotes I dont want to use a lighter bullet. I hope the 39s will work. I thought 1:12 was the way to go when I ordered the gun, but I should have gone with the 1:10 or 1:11. I'm a huge fan of Vmax bullets and wanted to shoot them. I have been shooting them, but my...

Re: 35gr. berger bullets & benchmark
Yeah I to would be afraid to change my load with a group .375 or less. I'd say that's pretty much a tack driver. I enjoy shooting paper, but I'm a hunter and if I can shoot a half inch group or less then I'm pretty happy. After the coyotes kill zone at 300+ yards is still fairly large. LOL I'm still...

need advice on tools
I am looking for a quality tool to take off the burrs around the flash hole of my 204 brass. What is the best tool for this job? My large rifle tool wont work for the 204. What do you all recommend? I want the best product out there. Also I am looking for a new chronograph as the one that I use seem...

Re: End of my rope
I dont really have any helpful info for that other than one of my friends has a savage in 22-250 and has a similar problem. His first shot is different from his group by an inch or so then the next three shots are tight, but by about the 5th shot or so the group moves high and to the left. As his ba...
