Re: Lucas bore guide

I use Lucas bore guides and like them. Not sure how for you to get one to the UK though.

Re: 1-14-2012 hunt with CRTs bullets

Yeah I've taken a liking to the bipod version of the Trigger Stix. Self leveling and fast. I also have the monopod version, but the bi-pod wins out.

Sharps----Why exactly did you take a .17 Rem on a buffalo hunt? Seems to be a tad on the weak side for a beast. Was this a fair game hunt? I'm assuming it was a close shot.

Re: 40gr V-Max and 12 Twist Stability

It is also important to note that when a manufacturer states a given twist (1:12 or whatever) that sometimes it may actually be just over or just under that given twist. Some are just slightly faster or slower than what they are said to be. Another factor is the bore diameter may vary ever so slight...

Re: How do you load flat based bullets?

TP COLLINS--Hey as mentioned you NEED the VLD chamfer tool, not a standard chamfer tool. As mentioned just a couple light twists to make a LIGHT chamfer and keep the cut uniform from one side of the case mouth to the other. It doesn't take much. Also buy Brads (CRTs) VLD tool. It's the best I've eve...

Re: 1-14-2012 hunt with CRTs bullets

Yeah I was surprised also that I had two exits on the coyote. I discovered that I badly damaged the fox when it was skinned. I hadn't looked that close before (the long hair covered it up) but it is still salvageable. I'll be hunting here in about 7 hrs, so we shall see if I get another opportunity ...

Re: 1-14-2012 hunt with CRTs bullets

My AR is a Superior Arms Action with a 1:12 twist 24" bull barrel. Jewel two stage trigger and has a few other extras like the handgrip etc. She shoots really well and I seem to have found my best loads with CRTs bullets. I'm still wanting to do more target shooting with these bullets, but I'm ...

I need to order some more myself. One question though.....how will you know if your gun shoots them really well with only 10 bullets? These shoot super well in my gun.

Actual barrel length

When manufacturers list a barrel length where do they measure from? Does their barrel length claim include the chamber? Do they go from bolt face to crown? Anyone know 4 sure?
