Hi Kurt,
I am near Lansing. I don't post much but also shoot a 204 Encore. Get with me if you want to compare
load notes.

Re: T/C Encore owners come inside...
Mine shot well right from the start. I can't really say it has gotten any more accurate the more I shoot it. It will group most everything into a bit less then an inch at 100. The Bergers substantially better  Do a search. I am not sure how much of the old posts are left from before the server ...

Re: T/C Encore owners come inside...
I shoot a stainless factory heavy. I have only shot the Hornady 32 and 40, and the Winchester 34's. The Winchesters shot ok but not great. The Vmax 32's shot very well I went through 100 rounds breaking in. I have not been able to get the 40's to shoot, factory or reloaded. I have had very good succ...

Re: Dogtown load
I have just started to work up loads with these. I bought 1000 when they were on sale. I loaded about 20 using my standby 28.0 of H4895. That load shot to a tad over an inch if I remember right. Not bad, but not great either. Plenty good for coyotes and woodchucks. This load might be over max in oth...

Re: Berger 35 load data
I will second the 28.0 of H4895 load. Shoots great out of my Encore. Work up to it in your gun. It is a hot load. I have yet to kill a dog with it. Hopefully one will cooperate this winter.

Re: Dogtown bullets
I have shot them in the Encore using Winchester cases, Federal 205M and H4895 27.5 grains 3898 fps .774@100 28.0 grains 3961 fps .589@100 28.3 grains 4026 fps .445@100 a maximum load in the Encore I like the bullets for the Encore, the problem is that they have a BC (.149) of a stone. When hunting ...

Shove some more powder in it Glenn.

Re: New 204!!!
I think you are right about the stability Glenn. That makes sense BUT, shooting the 32 Vmaxs I also get better results the faster I push them. Thats what makes load development fun. I wish I could be happy with 3/4 MOA's. My buddy I shoot with just shoots factory loads at a bit over 1 MOA and is con...

Re: New 204!!!
My Encore really likes H4895. The most accurate load is with 35 grn Bergers, Rem 7 1/2 primers and 28.0 of 4895. This load is over published max so approach with caution. It is safe in my rifle with no signs of pressure and shoots fantastic. The Bergers are also highly regarded as coyote bullets, bu...

Re: BRD
Ethan and Glen Could you tell me if I have BRD? Because if I do have it I really do not want to get cured anytime soon. Haveing fun and helping others build Black Rifles seems like a good thing to me. Grayfox Yup. Your screwed. Don't go to AR15.com. Whatever you do. Picking up another lower parts k...

I shot my first (and most accurate) batch of Hornady new cases without sizing. I then bought the headspace gauge and needed to remove material from my dies and shell holder to set the headspace correctly. I have not been able to duplicate the accuracy I got with those first 50 cases with resized cas...

Mine is shooting well also. I believe it's because the new cartridge forced TC to get new equipment. The old stuff had loose tolerences. BTW I'm not sure if you noticed my previous post on headspace. Mine shoots best with brand new Hornady cases. Resize them and with the exact same load groups almos...
