Re: Competition Load Development Info

Sounds like a plan Skipper. I also fire one fouling shot, into the dirt, prior to firing my Official target, for score. Know you will do well and surely beat out my group.. But that is the way it goes. Bill K

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge

Shilohman.. Not much younger, but 74 is better than 79. No matter, your first five shot/group, you should have sent it back, I bet it would beat some, more than you might believe. And remember this is just a fun shoot, no blood or prizes involved. Bill K

Re: Monthly Shootout: Any interest?

Most of the time I just take a red target dot ( one inch model) and stick it on a sheet of paper. Makes for a tight hold and you can see your hits, most of the time from 100 yrds, with a 12x scope. If you check around those stick on dots sell for 10.00 bucks or so, for hundreds of them. Reasonable a...

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge

Mine was sent yesterday from the UK. This should be very interesting and fun, with other's coming in this year, from around the world. Skipper really started something, this time. :D But it is great, we can share like this and all in fun. Some of our Aussie/N.Z. guys and maybe gals should come on b...

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge

 It's here!!! The first target has finally arrived in my mail box. Things will start getting very interesting from here till the end. The post told me yesterday, that mine should reach you in about 3 days. I think you are going to see a flood over the next week and will be super busy sco...

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge

It is a fun shoot, but still I hope they post a final tally and where we placed in the lineup. Bill K

Is it just me ???

After what seemed like a long period of time, with not a lot of comments, etc. the Five shot tourney has charged up the site. Now with Tarrin & staff making posting photo's and all available. I see more activity. I, for one, am looking forward to more photo's and info from members, as to their shoot...

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge

I will tell you Sir, do what you can now, and as much as you can, before age does set in. I am 79 now and I can tell you the last couple years are starting to tell. The old heart and mind say GO, but the joints, aches, etc. say Slow down. The wife keeps telling me "Your not 21 anymore" So go for the...

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge

You probably shoot better than that already.. Old age does not allow you to hold as steady as when, we/I were younger. Bill K
Especially with only a scope set on 12x.

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge

My problem, due to age and being illiterate on these PC's. I have too much trouble with those score apps. So I just measure with my calibers and like in this case, will let the mod/person running the contest measure and I will go with what they post. All in fun anyway. Bill K

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge

Went out yesterday and fired my official target. It will be in post to Skipper today. Took a couple photo's before and after. However they are on the blurry side. I measured 0.438 center to center on the widest, not sure if I am measuring correctly. But skipper will do it proper and official. Will s...

Re: Monthly Shootout: Any interest?

Personally, I would like it to stay with just a fun shoot, with no prize, etc. That would get to complicated and really a lot of work, for yourself and/or others. Keep it fun, simple and a way for us to try and better ourselves and obtain the results others get, when they obtain smaller groups. Bill K

Re: Monthly Shootout: Any interest?

The only problem with that is, some like me, do not have a printer. I would gladly aid in postage and go with the mail, if that is what it would take. Or just use my own target, as mentioned, and post a photo and/or results. It is on the honor system and hopefully all would be honest. Bill K
