Re: my .204
I shot a NEF that was my uncles chambered in .45-70. It was a fun gun to carry in the brush. We deemed it the portable cannon for obvious reasons. It closely resembles the profile of my snake charmer......that too is a fun gun to take fishing for the unsuspecting snapping turtle or copper head. Let ...

A2K, I too am in Wichita......Maize to be exact. I have two .204's, a heavy barrel M77 and a Rock River AR. If you need a shooting buddy, I can help you out.

Re: Bushmaster .204 at Cabelas
I would opt for a 20" or 22". I have a 24" barrel on mine with a 2 1/2" muzzle brake. Makes for a very heavy gun, if I were to change it I would go with a 22". 18" is pretty short to achieve the optimal range of the .204. Especially because of the gas block location on ...

Re: My first 204
The gun......if you like what you got, might as well go with what you know. That is my opinion, that is why I never strayed from the M77.....I think I have 8 now. I do have an old Savage in 30-06 and it has proven to be one of the most reliable in my arsenal. Scope.....I have the VXIII 6.5x20-40 on ...

Re: Scope mount for my AR(s)
My next upper will get either the RRA or the American defense..... I would probably go with the RRA since my rifle is a RRA.

Re: Scope mount for my AR(s)
If you want something cheap, I have a rail and rings for sale. $30 plus $5 shipping. I don't know the make but it came on my AR when I bought it.
I can send you a picture if you are interested.

Re: .223 in a .204...???
Just checked both guns, and you cannot close the bolts in either..........223 in a .204, or .204 in the .223. Both bolts were around .095" to .125" from closing.

Re: .223 in a .204...???
I can't imagine that a .223 will chamber in a .204........ I have 2 .204s and my wife has a target Mini-14, I guess I should see if it is true when I get the chance. Are you sure that you can close the bolt?????? I would figue the diameter of the projectile and case neck would prohibit the action fr...

Re: Scope mount for my AR(s)
ADM makes a great product, as does RRA........
As far as a detatch system, I just have the fear of getting a hair or grain of sand under the lip of the rail or something. .005" on the rail will make a huge difference at 500 yards.

Re: Scope mount for my AR(s)
I have a M223 Nikon mount and like it alot....plus it is made in the US unlike the Burris Stuff. I lapped it with a lapping bar and I didn't have to take out much material to get a "true" mating surface. I have a Leupold 6-18x40 mounted on it now. I bet I looked for a month for good mount....

Re: what one
My M77 Target suits me well.........the 26" barrel with 12 twist does fine with 40 grain projectiles. The 1:12 will not stablilize 45's or the new 50's/55's to well.....

Re: one-piece scope mount for the Ruger M77 Mk2 T/Varmint
I got to see a picture first and analyze it.....no offense but a picture is worth a thousand words.
Plus my Target M77 has a stepped receiver so I want to see how that will work.
