Savage 99

I picked upa a used Savage 99 in 300 Savage. I was wondering if anyone the year this rifle was made by the serial#
Serial#680793 24" barrel, snoble fore end. Metal round counter not brass like some I saw.

I offer him 1K and he took it! So I should have another Nightforce scope in my posession. I love my leupolds..............but I can't over look 95MOA of elevation. Thanks for all your input and will get some pic posted as soon as possible.

Thanks for you help guys. This might go on a project gun I'm building. The nightforce 5.5/22/56 has 95moa of usable elevation adj. Were my 6.5/20/50 Mark4 Leupold only has 70 moa of usable elevation adj. I'd rathe 1/4moa adj more than 1/8moa adjustments. The reason is all my other scopes are 1/4 moa...

I have a chance to pick up a used one. No ring marks scope looks in good shape the gentlemen wants more scope power. This is why he is selling it. What is it worth? Update..........Action enletted in stock and working on a sako trg trigger guard. So far so good. The wrist was a little thin on the A-5 Mcmillan stock to get the tang of the M-995 action flush with the stock without dropping the trigger to far below the bottom of the stock. So we're getting closer....

NHS Thanks for sharing great pics and a great story as well! Wild horses, sheep and a deer for the freezer............and of corse pictures that last a life time.
