10-4 on the barrel length for 1K. Two reasons for that velocity and being able to use a slower powder to get a better case fill. All my long range rifles are wearing 30" tubes.

Drew...I'd work with IMR or Hodgen in the 4350 or 4831 powders........Don't know how many shots in a row you plan on firing. Retumbo and H-1000 can foul a 7mm bore fast because they are slow and made for heavy bullets. Hope this helps...........Barrel length is plus with slower powders too.........2...

Joe............If the shoulder is not letting the bolt close..........the the shoulder has to be compress a little more. Like I mentioned earlier, I had to use some shim stock betweet the case and the shell holder to bump the shoulder enough to close the bolt on my one Rem 700. Your dementions might...

1st I would get a couple pieces of brass that fit that chamber and take out your calipers. Next take some measurements.........web.........base of shoulder and compare this to the brass your are tring to size to see what has to be moved. On my full length rcbs sizing die I have to use .013 shim stoc...

When I joined my hi-school rifle team back in 1973 my dad said I should have my own rifle. Out to his favorit gun dealer and brought home a model 54 anschutz 22LR target rifle. Apeture sights. So I used it for 4 years and my younger brother used it for 4 years. We still have it but have not taken it...

2nd update. My smith has my hart barrel chambered for LimP#2, threaded for Sako M-995action, checked the bolt lugs, installed a visis muzzle brake. Call mcmillan on 7/18/07 looking for stock and they said 2 more weeks. The stock was in aother part of their plant getting an adjustable check piece ins...

Yep I tried TAC/ 28.0/ 35 Berger COAL 2.310 yield 3900 fps
Had better luck with TAC/27.5/40 Berger COAL 2.320 yield 3750 fps
This is out of Rem 700 w/ 26.5 Hart barrel.
TAC measures very well and it is small sperical in shape.
