Re: 700 Rem. barrel threads

I finally found a Rem. 700 in a 30-06. Built in Aug. of '75 paid 315.00 out the door. About 85% contact on the bolt lugs so I "think" we are just about ready to finish trueing every thing up and away we go!

Re: 700 Rem. barrel threads

Ok. Well the barrel that I already have came out of a 700 and I have to get it cut rechambered and threaded but if I can get a 700 then I can just have him true the action to the barrel. I was just thinking maybe I could just buy one of the thousand ruger around my area.

700 Rem. barrel threads

Hey guys, I feel some what foolish asking but I really do not know the answer here. Will a barrel that came out of a 700 Rem. receiver thread into say a model 70 Win., M77 ruger? I have a hart barrel in 30-06 AI that I need to build into a precision rifle but cannot find a decent Rem. 700 to start f...

Re: model 1

I got an uppper about 2 years ago. it is not fluted so it is even more front heavy, but once I got used to shooting off hand with the extra weight it really helped with my 300 win mag. for steady standing shots. I paid right at 605.00 with shipping for it. with 32 gr. loads it makes legs come off of...

Re: Kit Fox

The last I had heard UT was thinking about making swiffies/kit fox a protected species seeing as how it is "indigenous" here. Just like prairie dogs. we cannot hunt them on public lands from April 15 until June 1. Cuz thats their mating season. and there aren't enough to go around. :duh:

Re: AR reloading problem

I also had a problem with my reloads not chambering at first until I put a little more grip on the bullet. I use lee for my .204 just had to screw the body of my die in about a 1/4 turn at a time until the neck got small enough. that also stopped my bullets from pushing back inside the brass. On the...

Re: New AR not cycling!

Wow! Looks like some body didn't enter the correct dimensions on the cnc machine? I looked at my bcg and it appears to be very close to your .223 rra bcg. Can you interchange and try them? Or would that be a no no? The dimensions on the head are the same I think is the problem that it won't run anot...

Ahhhh. I see and understand the deal. And I could not agree more about the link. On the other side. I don't know if the gentlemen who are joking know each other or not. They don't seem to be upset. But I can see where you come from. And I am glad I took the time to ask. Thanks.

Re: .204 AR Magazines?

Hmmm. When I started with my 204. I had to polish the feed ramp. And then use plenty of oil. I also now have ar stoner mags. I had to play with seating depth back and forth until they were long enough for accuracy and short enough to feed reliably. Now both ballistic tip and HP bullet feed fine.
