Pacnor experience

Took the Sako 75 Varmint into Pacnor last week. Ordered the super match stainless with flutes. Chambered. Really nice people. Took my brother and I on an hour tour of the shop. We had a ball.

Males are up in the afternoon on a good day here in Idaho. All rounds loaded. Bag packed. Rifles ready. Winter sucks.

Re: Winchester necks

I have been working with 1650 or so WW cases for a couple of years. All fully prepped including neck turning. I have been annealing after the second firing just to be safe (I sort of like to do it. The colors are so beautiful.) and have had no split necks. I just finished loading a little over 1000 ...

Re: Clunky bolt on my CZ 452 American

Ray, How tight are the action screws? CZ bolts are rough by nature as Rick says, but most guys that have taken the time to mess with the action tension have found that between 20 and 30 inch pounds yield the best accuracy. Most of them come from the factory with the action screws installed way too t...

Re: 39 gr. sierra and H4895

I have been loading 27.0 for several years now with great results. 3670 fps is the average. Not a barn burner, but easy on the barrel and very accurate through my Sako.

new business

With Brian’s permission I am announcing the opening of our web site with some shooting related parts. A lot of our stuff is for shotguns. We have some very nice hex head action screws for Cz and Sako rimfires that we have produced ourselves as well as striker springs for all of them. All our ...

Re: Winchester Supreme 22lr Match Ammo

I have read a great deal on the velocity subject, mostly on Benchrest.com on the rimfire forum. As a .22 projectile falls below the speed of sound the shock wave it creates as it passes through the air changes and causes the projectile to become unstable and yaw. It is great to be interested in thes...

Re: Winchester Supreme 22lr Match Ammo

Squatting Wolf, I shoot a lot of squirrels with a .22 and have found the WW Power Points work the best for me. I use the 40 gr. Velocity over my chrono through a Lilja barrel is 1280fps. Excellent killing power on not only the rather small ground squirrel we have here in Idaho, but also on the large...

Re: NOT .204, but NEW 20 gr. Nosler FB HP .172 caliber bullets

I have not shot the .204 "Shots" yet. I have had a ladder load of them ready for 4 months but have not been able to get out on a good bench day for that long. The weather has been miserable here this late winter and spring. I was hoping for a -200 yard inexpensive bullet, but the jury is s...

I wonder if those are a .17 cal version of the Dog Town, or as they are known in Australia, "Shots"? Sure looks like it.
