FS 94pcs Lapua 6x45 (223-6mm) 223 Match Brass 1x Fired

Bought these 94 pcs of Lapua Match 223 brass and resized them to 6x45 (6mmx223) with a redding die, turned the necks to get rid of the doughnut, reloaded and fired 1x times. It is a nice little cartridge, but rebarreled the rifle with a different caliber. Will trade for a box of Berger 6.5mm 140g Hy...

FS 9 Boxes (900) Sierra Varminter 6mm .243 80 Grain SBT Blitz Spitzer Boat Tail

I have 930 rounds of Sierra 6mm .243 80 Grain SBT Blitz for sale. These have an excellent ballistic coefficient of .319 which make them ideal for long range and fragment very well. I used these on prairie dogs with exceptional results. Do a great job on coyotes as well. Have 9 sealed boxes and askin...

I would bet it was your chrono, you might be 50 fps lower, but no way your 600 fps down. Try a different day or a different chrono.

Nice looking rifle Bluestar. That is nicer than many of my custom savage builds which consist of an aftermarket barrel and anything I can find to replace the tupperware stock.

Re: North Dakota Prairie Dog Hunt

Great report. I like the hero shot, our pdog hunting here in the west is spread out over several miles, doing a big hero shot is not really an option and I'm not touching those things or hauling them around in a truck for a pic. While is last spring SD, my first day in a really densely populated pdo...

Re: South Dakota dog hunt.

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. The grass looks a little taller than when I was there. I've never tried to shoot from a chair and tripod. I've done the standing tripod and think and struggled with dogs over 200 yards. The best thing about SD pdog hunting is you can shoot over your vehicle and ...

Re: Savage questions

I missed that was a 20 Nitro, thought it was 204 ruger velocities. Looks like a fun cartridge, I'm sure is was a challenge and time consuming to build. I love those 39 SBKs on prairie dogs at 3700, I'll bet they really do acrobatics with an additional 300-400 fps.

Dang wireless guy, those bullet are moving fast. I'm only pushing my 39gr SBK to about 3700 also using XBR 8208 using 26.3gr. Mind if I ask what powder charge you're using?

Re: *** 2015 Ruger 204um Five Shot Challenge ***

Congrats to the winners. I actually thought I wasn't going to make the top 10 turning in a .45" group. I have since been working with a lee collet die and shot a .350" 5 shot since turning in my target. This contest really pushed my to tune my rifle and load a little better. Bluestar48, wh...

Re: New Mexico May Dog Hunt

Enjoyed the video. It is hard to capture prairie dog shots at those long ranges. I settled on a cell phone mounted to a spotting scope, someday, I'm going to buy a better mount for a better camera.
