Believe it was -10 yesterday with a slight 18 to 22 mph NNW wind.

Today...I believe it is +5 with a 5 to 8 mph wind.

Oh well...we need the moisture....right?!?!?!

Rick - did the 45 make the trip varminting as well? Close combat protection? Is the 45 enough? Should I bring my 44 mag instead? Jacketed hollow points? Stay with the wad cutters?

Nice selection of rifles.

What press is on the left?

I have two 12FV's - one in 223, single shot and the other in 204 with magazine. I upgraded the stock on the 12 FV to a Choate Varminter - AWESOME stock. Liked the stock so much, I bought another for the 204. You do not have to buy a stock right away, you can do some work with the cheap factory stock...

Wow I'm losing it folks. acloco is absolutely correct and I thank him. It seems the 308 shellholder I've been using in my press is actually a Hornady shellholder. I do not even remember ordering it but I must have. I pulled the shellholder out of a used RCBS press that I have yet to set up and sure...

My bad  The Hornady trimmer uses standard shellholders. No idea how I forgot that except I've had it set up exclusively for 204 since I got it. Actually, the Hornady trimmer that I purchased 6 months ago, ONLY uses Hornady brand shell holders. The center hole in the Hornady brand are larger t...

I tried to put an RCBS handle on my K & M flash hole tool, but once I removed the cheap cap I had to tap and dies to get the thread to match the thread on the RCBS. In the process I ruined the tool when I smashed it in a vice????? Is there another way to get the RCBS handle to work????? M...

Go with a 6.5x55 on a modern action. Next option would be the 6.5x06.

Why? Look at the SD and BC of the bullets. None better than the 6.5's across the board.

The "new" benchrest caliber is 6.5x284...same as a 6.5x55, without buying expensive cases with a rebated rim.

Funny how we think of 3950 as slow. That is funny. I took my old muzzle loader out the other day. I haven't shot it since the end of last September. I have only been shooting my .204 all winter and man...talk about slow. It seemed like it took that old slug forever to get the the target compared to...
