scary stuff, indeed. it appears that all loading and shooting bases have been properly executed, and if so, that leaves only the firearm in question.

i've used boyds stocks for a rem 700, winch 70 and marlin xs7vh - for the dollars and quality, i find it hard to beat a boyds stock.

boyd's th lam stock (converted to single feed), swfa 12x42, burris 9-13 pod. life's still good.

since all rifles and trigger pullers are different, only yer personal testing will tell ya what boolit and powder and charge yer rifle will like best. there are no shortcuts nor fast-food answers to consistent accuracy. happy testing.

in comparing the RAR and RAP 22" barrels, there isn't much more meat to the RAP tube ... not enuf that would help it dissipate heat in lots (3 to 5, or more) of close consecutive firings, imho. the savage 12fv with its Much heavier (and longer 26") near bull barrel should help a huge amoun...

that's the first thing i make sure of with any rifle added to my gun closet - float the barrel past the action. only takes some hefty sandpaper and big dowel and some elbow grease. i want a LOT of room twixt barrel and stock. if the rifle's stock is that synthetic wiggly plastic, in almost all cases...
