Re: Winchester brass

A friend and I bought 1000 new Winchester brass last year. We found 20+ cases that were deformed from the factory. I have emailed Winchester Customer Service 5 times about this and have yet to get a response!!!!

Re: Cooper Model 21 chamber

Wonder of wonders. I actually got an update on my 204 Cooper. Barreling is complete and it is at range for accuracy testing before returning. Thanks Shirley!

Re: Cooper Model 21 chamber

Rick, point taken.

Ramos, if nothing else I am rather stubborn and will keep the 204 when it comes back if it shoots well. If it does not, I will sell it with the stipulation that the buyer knows the results I was getting with it.

Re: Cooper Model 21 chamber

Rick, that's pretty tough on an old guy. I'll refrain from any added postings.

Main reason for the posting was to give potential or current Cooper owners a heads up on my Cooper repair experience. But yes, I'm very frustrated.

Re: Cooper Model 21 chamber

Skipper, I have everything ready just waiting, and waiting, and waiting on the rifle. The cases fired in the defective chamber were so expanded at the pressure ring that I was forced to purchase and use a small base die on all my loaded 500 cartridges before they would allow the bolt to close on the...

Re: Cooper Model 21 chamber

It is now 3 weeks since Cooper has received the barrel for my gun and still no word as to when they will send it to me.

Currently they have had the gun 19 weeks to rebarrel it.

Re: Cooper Model 21 chamber

Well, I emailed Wilson to check on the barrel and found it had been shipped to Cooper on the 25th. Now I really can chill out as I know the barrel will be at Cooper this seek.

Big sigh.............................

Re: Cooper Model 21 chamber

Well, here I am after an additional week. I just sent Cooper a status request and got the following response: "I'm sorry George but I have not. They come in when they come in. Will let you know when it comes in. Shirley Ann Clay Customer Service/Custom Shop Cooper Firearms of Montana Inc 406-77...

Re: Cooper Model 21 chamber

Well, here I am still awaiting on Cooper to rebarrel my rifle. At the end of this month it will be 16 weeks with no answer other than they are "hopeful" the barrel will be to them before 16 weeks has elapsed.

Can you say UNHAPPY!!!!!!!

Re: h4895 high pressure issues...?

Your primers are showing that your firing pin/bolt face have too much clearance between them and the primers are flowing back into that clearance. This is pretty common for factory guns as opposed to custom actions and is not a sign of excessive pressure. To fix this you have two options: live with ...

After uniforming the primer pockets, I use this tool after each firing. Works great!

Re: Cooper Model 21 chamber

Thanks Ramos, hope so.

I bought the gun used over the internet with a Zeiss Conquest scope for a very good price. Very nice wood and great scope.

Guess the prior owner found the same problem and passed it along to me with no warning. Still believing when I get it back it will be a great shooter.
