Re: five on a Dime shoot ??
I'm in if Skipper is still willing. I'm really in need of some 204 therapy!

Re: 2019 Five-N-Dime Competition News
My target should go out in the mail either today or tomorrow, depends on postal efficiency. Skipper, thanks for taking care of the competition again this year! Hopefully everyone that received a target will get them back to you. Please try not to laugh out loud when you score my target!

Re: 2019 Five-N-Dime Competition News
Well...Shot my target for score this past Friday, not my greatest precision shooting! My local range finally dried out enough to make the road usable but there were fairly large puddles to negotiate between the shooting benches and the target stands. The extended weather forecast has rain in it near...

Re: 2019 Five Under a Dime Postal Challenge
Skipper, PM sent. The flood waters at our local range are nearly gone! We should be shooting there in a week or so, looking forward to "unloading" some 204 Ruger ammunition.

Re: 2019 Five Under a Dime Postal Challenge
Skipper, I'm looking forward to this year's challenge! I hope the flooding at my local range will subside early enough so I can get some practice in before I have to shoot for score. It's been a long, cold, snowy winter & I'm going through 204 withdrawals! Competition loads are in progress &...

Re: 2019 5 Shot Challenge Preparation Topics
I go to the local (50 mile round trip) public range. I choose this range because it stretches out to 575 yards if I'm preparing for some "skippy" population control. I use bags front & rear, right hand on the grip to squeeze the trigger, left hand controlling the rear bag and cheek on ...

I guess it's easy enough to read the posts you're interested in, ignore the posts you're not interested in & then click "mark all posts as read". There's one member here that likes to stir the turds, ignore that member & let the stirring individual lick the spoon. :wall: Just saying

Re: 2019 5 Shot Challenge Preparation Topics
It will be nice to have a couple "swings" at our best group. Will you be sending targets or will we be printing our own?

Re: Next Year's 5 Shot Challenge Rifles
Gentlemen...let's keep this civil! Smack talk does nothing to bolster this forum. The proof is in the pudding, shooting 5 shots at a target at a reasonable distance is what these challenges are about. If we shoot a great group at the challenge target on a particular day, we do well in the challenge,...

Re: 2018 Going Postal 5 Shot Challenge
The short range, off hand shooting could be interesting. Another good excuse to haul out the 204. I could be persuaded.

Re: 2018 Going Postal 5 Shot Challenge Winners!!!
I also don't mind having my score published. If I remember correctly, you posted the scores from the previous postal challenge...did you get some "blowback" from that? We all just have to remember that these challenges are just for fun!

Re: 2018 Going Postal 5 Shot Challenge Winners!!!
Skipper, Thanks for all of the time you've put into this competition! This challenge was a great excuse to get the 204 out & have some fun, not that I need much of an excuse. As for the reason I entered, I just enjoy shooting and comparing my skills to others on the forum. I am wondering if you ...

Re: 2018 Going Postal 5 Shot Challenge
Sent my target in yesterday. Not the best shooting I'v done but definitely not the worst. Still had fun getting the Savage out to the range for some quality time.

Re: lets talk powder.....
I use CFE223 for my 32gr V-max loads & IMR 4895 for my 39gr Blitz King loads. It seems like my Savage model 12 likes these particular powder/bullet combinations. I use the 32gr loads for targets, prairie dogs & other small vermin & the 39gr loads for predators.
